—Jiang Nan opens their fifth location in Montclair, NJ
Chinese food is not hard to come by in the Garden State, but the most abundant option is often Chinese-American takeout. Though this is more than desirable, if you are looking to explore the other flavors of China’s vast landscape, you might have to search a little harder.

Jiang Nan, a popular NYC Chinese establishment, aims to bring the cuisines of China to your plate in a digestible way. China is an enormous country and with its large size, comes a vast display of culinary delights. At Jiang Nan, exploring China’s many foods is easier than ever. They not only pride themselves on serving regional classics such as Peking duck, Xiao Long Bao, and spicy ox tongue, but also on serving consistently high quality food with exceptional customer service.
Jiang Nan first opened in Flushing, Queens in the heart of an Asian-American community. This is no surprise—Queens is one of the most culturally diverse population centers in the entire world. With that, comes some challenges. How can you compete? For Jiang Nan, this was never an issue. Their food is approachable and authentic, while uplifting the people of their community in the process. Their philosophy always remains the same: Authentic food and great service.
Within one year of opening, two more locations popped up and then two more shortly after. People couldn’t get enough of Jiang Nan’s regional Chinese cuisine. The company plans to have 40 restaurants between the West Coast, East Coast and Florida within three years.

Already, Jiang Nan has garnered national recognition, with accolades in The New York Times, Eater, The Michelin Guide and more.
Now, that same buzzed about experience comes to Montclair. Jiang Nan Montclair is the restaurant’s fifth location and second in New Jersey (Jersey City). Located on a busy Bloomfield Avenue, the restaurant resides in a sea of great fare. The authentic Chinese eatery is a welcome addition to Montclair’s downtown.
