Americans come from all over to enjoy New Jersey’s beaches and boardwalks, part of the beach experience in New Jersey is, of course, the shopping. There are plenty of boutiques that carry trendy, Instagramable outfits that are perfect for a beach day. These boutiques are also small businesses, some of which are women-owned. So if you forget a swimsuit coverup or if you’re just in need of some retail therapy, shop local and stop by a Jersey Shore boutique!  

1. Hazel Boutique – Belmar, NJ

Located in the beautiful beach town of Belmar, NJ,  Hazel Boutique carries chic and trendy clothing for young women. Their first store was opened in 2014 and they have since expanded with locations in Ramsey and Ship Bottom. They have a selection of reworked vintage pieces as well as custom handmade college and sports apparel.

2. Lola’s Boutique – Point Pleasant, NJ

Lola’s Boutique brings New York and L.A. trends to the popular Jersey Shore town of Point Pleasant. In addition to their own merchandise, they also carry brands like Free People and Levee. They also carry a large selection of bohemian-inspired jewelry and a selection of totes, wallets, and purses. 

3. Island Gypsy – Lavallette, NJ

This boutique sits within the popular New Jersey beach destination of Lavallette, NJ, this boutique offers beautiful clothes for young women and teens. If you’re looking for a casual summer outfit, Island Gyspy is your go-to. They also sell jewelry as well as gifts including candles and coasters. In addition to their own merchandise, they also carry brands like Pura Vida and Free People. 

4. Five 0 Six Boutique – Surf City, NJ

Opened 50 years ago, Five 0 Six is an established and loved family-owned boutique.  Three generations later, owner Sarah Jordan has helped maintain the legacy of her family business. This Jersey Shore boutique offers coastal-inspired clothing for women ages 15 and older. In addition to trendy clothes, they also offer jewelry, home decor items, and swimwear, as well as bath and body items. You should definitely check them out! 

5. Dune and Salt – Bay Head, NJ

Dune and Salt, located in Bay Head, NJ, make sure to prioritize your local shopping experience by offering items that are ethically sourced and made in the U.S. They are a high-end boutique that offers clothes and accessories for men, women, and children. They also have a collection of home decor items and surfboards. If you’re not in Bayhead they also have a store in Hoboken and a sister boutique, The Girt, in Sea Girt.
