Not everyone needs the ferocity of die-hard fans and heavy drinking to enjoy the Super Bowl. Here’s a list of 18 places where you can escape the rowdy crowds to enjoy the big game.
Jersey City

Grove Square: Grove Square is comprised of five rooms, including a Wine & Whiskey Bar, the Bistro, and the Third Base Sports Cafe. Tickets for their Super Bowl party are $30 and include an open bar and open buffet. All sections of Grove Square will be open, meaning you can hide out in the Wine & Whiskey Bar to watch the game on the big screen.

Hoboken
1-Republik: Over 40 flat screens and ten projectors, 1-Republik bills itself as a ‘premiere upscale sports bar’ and gastropub. The menu speaks for itself: steak sandwiches and lobster rolls, calamari and braised short-ribs.

Hudson Blue Bar: Enjoy the game on TV’s at the bar, and turn around during commercial breaks to a view of the stunning Manhattan skyline across the Hudson.
North Bergen/West New York
Social 59: Drink specials TBA, plus flat-screens and projectors and empanadas with homemade mojo sauce.
Son Cubano: The best Cuban fare in Hudson County, overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
