Abma’s Farm – Wyckoff, NJ
In between hayrides to the pumpkin patch and visits to the barnyard petting zoo, Abma’s has some incredible baked goods inside their market. Abma’s bakery makes everything from scratch according to season and with its own produce. In addition to pies, muffins and breads you can find homemade apple cider donuts. Before you go, just note that they’re closed on Sundays.

You can grab these year-round at their retail store (closed on Mondays) or through their website. This farm and local market is Bergen County’s go-to U-Pick spot. Fall, however, is when Demarest Farms really shines with their on-site orchard and signature apple cider donuts. The hardest decision you’ll make all day, aside from which apple variety to pick, is which donut you’re going to bring home. They offer plain, powdered and sugar.

If the name didn’t give it away, at Hacklebarney Farms, they’re actually milling their own cider. Every September and through the month of November is when Mood’s Farm Market presses their own cider. Naturally, they’re using all its gloriousness to craft their cider donuts. From experience, we can tell you they’re super light and fluffy! You can grab them every day of the week except on Sundays when the farm is closed. If you’re visiting for a PYO experience, goers must bring their buckets or boxes.

Ort Farms – Long Valley, NJ
Catch apple cider donuts on display year-round at Ort Farms in Long Valley, NJ. Their signature recipe can be purchased plain, with cinnamon sugar or powdered. Probably best to all three. You know, just to be safe. Aside from delicious d’s, enjoy pony rides, haybale and corn mazes in addition to seasonal apple and pumpkin picking.

Secor Farms – Mahwah, NJ
No matter what season you visit Secor Farms, you’re bound to walk away with something from their market or greenhouse. In autumn, that means fresh-pressed cider, donuts and apples galore. From mid-September through October, hop on a hayride to Secor’s pumpkin patch and corn maze.

Terhune Orchards – Princeton, NJ
Terhune Orchards is a 250-acre family-run farm, winery and bakery. The latter is serving up homemade cider donuts, crisps, cakes, cobblers, pies cookies and more. Their donuts incorporate Terhune’s very own apple cider and they’re not throwing away the scraps. Think small, pillowy and perfectly poppable donut holes. If you’re in the Princeton area, you can find Terhune apples amongst many of The Bent Spoon’s seasonal ice cream creations.
Wightman Farms – Morristown, NJ
Wightman Farms is a must-visit for Morristown locals. Here they’ve got PYO experiences, hayrides, corn mazes and a fully-stocked market. That being said, if you go purely for the donuts, we won’t judge. In fact, we highly recommended giving the apple cider donuts a try if nothing else.

I love everything I’ve gotten at Delicious Orchards and they definitely need to be mentioned in this article. That said, when it comes to apple cider donuts most of the locals tend to go to Wemrock Orchards in Freehold Township. If you’re in the area give it a try.
