At the start of 2022, it was announced that developers broke ground on a $100 million water park in Atlantic City. Now, it appears that “America’s Favorite Playground” will be getting another exciting new addition. Bally’s Atlantic City will soon be home to New Jersey’s first-ever, 360-degree rotating carousel bar. Read on for everything we know so far.

A Revolving Bar to Open at the Jersey Shore

Both the design of the bar and its beverage offerings will pay homage to the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City’s iconic boardwalk and give visitors a true sense of nostalgia.

The 24-seat revolving bar spins at two-and-a-half revolutions per hour and boasts panoramic views of the casino. Guests who decide to take a seat are to be transported to the “spinning rides of their childhood.” The overall design seconds that sentiment, from the color palette to the flashing lights.

As far as the actual drinks are concerned, Bally’s Carousel Bar is yet again taking cues from any New Jerseyans childhood. Think craft cocktails that incorporate the likes of caramel popcorn, cotton candy and even saltwater taffy.

There’s a Sea Spray Spritz with Prosecco, Blanco tequila, dry vermouth, passionfruit and lemon. An inventive take on an espresso martini using Funnel cake syrup. The Shore Breeze consists of cucumber gin, Aperol, sweet vermouth and lemon tonic. There’s also the Merry Go Round which includes lemon vodka, Hammonton blueberries, lemon bitters and a cotton candy swirl.

Visitors can experience Carousel Bar starting on Memorial Day Weekend 2022. It will be open to the public seven days a week.

Bally’s Atlantic City, Reimagined

The addition of the Carousel Bar at Bally’s Atlantic City comes as part of the hotel’s $100 million renovation plan. A slew of new and improved features will soon debut. These include updated hotel rooms, a refreshed hotel lobby and an indoor-outdoor beer hall. Better known as The Yard, the 10,000-square-foot space is also expected to open by Memorial Day. It’s said to include arcade-style games, a stage for live entertainment, a retractable roof and pub-inspired food and drinks.
