When Eataly first came to Manhattan from Europe in 2010, it was praised for its open-market concept. Founder Oscar Farinetti was inspired by the world-famous bazaars of Istanbul—aiming to combine that style of shopping with the many layers of Italian cuisine.

It was an instant hit. Eataly-goers could enjoy a full food court of gourmet stands and restaurants and follow it up with a grocery trip for good measure. It was all-encompassing—surrounding (mainly) Italian foods and flavors. Since, Eataly has expanded the brand immensely, with 45 locations worldwide. And now, New Jersey has joined the club.

Eataly at Short Hills will include cafés, meat counters, pasta bars, cheese tastings, pizza and gelato all in one place. You can also expect to shop for cookware, imported goods, produce and more.

This will be the 10th Eataly location in the US—New York City has three alone.

Eataly is bound to be a hit in New Jersey. There is no official opening date just yet, so stay tuned for more.
