Looking to avoid congestion pricing, but still want to experience an incredible restaurant week? Hudson County Restaurant Week is the logical solution to your problem.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, Hudson County Restaurant Week has a lot to look forward to, including nearly 50 participating restaurants—each one offering discounted prix fixe menus to celebrate the occasion. The event will run from January 27 to February 7.

At its peak, Hudson County Restaurant Week attracted 15,000 diners, and this year, they’re looking to top it. With excellent deals at a variety of price points, it’s the perfect opportunity for NJ foodies to try an array of exceptional restaurants without breaking the bank.

Hudson County Restaurant Week January 27 to February 7

Hudson County Restaurant Week was founded in 2005 by Tamara Remedios—a small business advocate and long-time entrepreneur. The concept aims to support Hudson County restaurants during the slower months by driving traffic in the form of excellent deals. Her efforts have contributed over $13 million to the local economy over the years. “When we started Hudson Restaurant Week, the goal was simple: to get people into restaurants during their quietest months,” said Remedios. “Two decades later, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together with the restaurant community. This milestone isn’t just about the event—it’s about the resilience, passion, and creativity of the restauranteurs who make Hudson County a top-tier dining destination.”

Each year, staple restaurants participate alongside new ones to feed thousands of New Jerseyans. “I have been participating in every Hudson Restaurant Week since Tamara started the very first one back in 2005,” said Jerry Maher, owner of HAVEN Riverfront Restaurant in Edgewater. “I had two restaurants in Hoboken (Oddfellows & 3Forty Grill), and now I have Haven Riverfront Restaurant in Edgewater. Restaurant Week is fantastic for the customer with the variety of restaurants offered at discount prices that cannot be had any other time of year. Additionally, it’s a marvelous way for us to get new diners into the restaurant to experience what we have to offer. I look forward to many more to come.”

Hudson County Restaurant Week: What To Expect

From January 27 to February 7, NJ diners can enjoy dozens of local restaurants—all offering can’t-miss deals. The map covers Bayonne to Weehawken, and even extends slightly outside of Hudson County to cover Edgweater, too.

For NJ diners who normally take the trip to NYC for restaurant week, Hudson County RW offers a great opportunity to skip out on the congestion pricing, and stay within your state borders. Besides, the quality of food leaves little to be missed across the river.

Restaurants like Halifax allow diners to experience upscale flavors at a fraction of the cost, offering a $30 lunch prix fixe, and a $60 dinner on Monday through Friday. On the flip side of things, casual eateries bring an even more accessible dining experience to the table, like Hoboken’s Wicked Wolf Tavern, which is offering a $15 lunch and $25 dinner.

Each participating restaurant is bringing something a little different. With plenty of restaurants (and deals) to choose from, it’s the perfect chance for New Jersey food fanatics to maximize their Hudson County dining across the event’s 12 days.

“Hudson Restaurant Week is a beloved tradition, and we’re thrilled to be a part of its 20th year,” said Roxanne Earley, Executive Director of the Hoboken Business Alliance. “This milestone for Hudson County’s culinary scene is a time for residents and visitors to experience some of Hoboken’s celebrated restaurants. Food connects communities, and this week is an opportunity to explore the unique flavors and talents that make Hudson County a dining destination.”
