One thing is for certain, Scoop N Scootery is not your typical ice cream shop. Now, the viral dessert spot comes to New Jersey.
Scoop N Scootery, a Boston-born sundae chain known for over-the-top, fully loaded ice cream creations, has opened its first New Jersey location at 21 East Front Street in Red Bank.
The concept is simple but indulgent: forget the single scoop. Scoop N Scootery is built around customizable, fully loaded sundaes—signature creations, custom builds, and a menu designed for the over-the-top sundaes of your dreams.
The shop stays open until midnight Tuesday through Saturday, even offering delivery for the late-night sweet tooth seekers.
The Story Behind It
Scoop N Scootery started a decade ago when founders bought an ice cream truck in Orlando, drove it to Boston, and built the concept from scratch. No industry experience, no investors, just a belief that the classic ice cream sundae experience needed reinventing. The first brick-and-mortar came some years after, and has since grown into a full-scale franchising operation.
According to Patch, the Red Bank location is owned by Kim Barcenilla, a Monmouth County native and longtime advertising executive who left the corporate world to bring the chain to her hometown community.
The menu is vast enough to overwhelm. So, if you’re not sure where to start, Barcenilla recommends the Cream & Sugar—coffee oreo ice cream topped with marshmallow fluff, fudge, oreo, and toffee bits.
