School Bus Crash in Hunterdon County Leaves 11 Injured

GLEN GARDNER BOROUGH, NJ – A school bus accident in Hunterdon County on Sunday afternoon resulted in injuries to 11 people, including 10 children, according to a report from the New Jersey State Police.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:12 p.m. on Route 31 southbound near mile marker 37.5 in Glen Gardner Borough, as confirmed by Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron, spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police.

According to the preliminary investigation, the school bus was heading south on Route 31 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus veered off the road, struck a mailbox, and ultimately ended up in a ditch.

Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the 10 children and one adult passenger were minor, according to the state police. The names of those injured and the bus company involved have not been disclosed.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and authorities have not yet provided further details.
