Ingredients Include

  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 2 ½ ounces of chopped up dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs (yolks only)
  • 3 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tbsp of vanilla

Preparation:

The first step is to pour the cream into a saucepan, simmering on medium heat. Then add the chocolate, stirring until the chocolate becomes smooth. Once done take the egg yolks and place them in a bowl, also adding the cocoa, vanilla, and brown sugar, make sure to mix up well. Then begin to add the warm chocolate slowly whilst constantly whisking the mixture and pour the entire contents into a baking dish, being sure to cover the dish over with foil. Now it is time to place the baking dish onto the trivet and add around 1 ¼ cups of water into the instant pot, then safely place the trivet in. Close down the lid of the instant pot and set it to “manual” at low pressure for around 22 minutes, releasing the pressure naturally over 5 minutes through the vent. Once done open up the lid of the instant pot and remove the dish. Be sure to remove the foil and place it directly into the fridge.

Being equipped with an instant pot surely does take the pressure out of cooking a sometimes strenuous and time-consuming 3-course meal. You can cook up a storm in the kitchen in just half the time and still provide some delicious and truly scrumptious dishes!
