The Bacon and Beer Classic (Is Back!) at Citi Field

by Michael Scivoli

It’s that time of year again! After a successful showing last year at the festival’s inaugural stop at Citi Field, Cannonball Production’s Bacon and Beer Classic is back in The Big Apple for a second time. The nationally touring event returns to Flushing this weekend Saturday April 29th and Sunday April 30th.

Like previous installments throughout the country, there are different levels of tickets attendees can purchase which range from VIP ($129) to General Admission ($69). And while many of the Saturday packages are nearly sold out, there’s still some slots remaining for Sunday (and the weather is looking good!).

Like last year, the event is all-inclusive with the price of admission. This means you can indulge in all the bacon and beer throughout the stadium that you can handle. But remember, VIP ticketholders will have access to exclusive dishes and tastings such as unique beer cocktails, a pork belly station and a BLT bar to name a few. In addition, there will be over 40 original bacon infused dishes/recipes from some of the best restaurants and chefs in NYC like Delaney Barbecue, Camacho’s, Schmackary’s and Blue Smoke to name a few. There will also be over 100 craft beers available which will be headlined by Big Alice Brewing, Bronx Brewery, Brooklyn Brew Shop and Fire Island Beer Co. (Just don’t forget to try the Maple Bacon Bourbon Ice Cream!)

To go along with all the original treats and brews being served, guests can play a variety of games and activities including: giant Jenga, bungee run and a photobooth, among other things.  If you’re interested in channeling your inner American once again, get your tickets for the Bacon and Beer Classic before it’s too late by visiting: Follow us @thedigestonline on Instagram for live updates on Sunday. See you all there!
