Life is a journey filled with highs and lows—triumphs and tribulations. On Tuesday, December 12, at Bridgewater Manor, guests are invited to join a special evening of empowerment that promises to touch the hearts and minds of all attendees. The event, titled “From Broken to Beautifully Broken: A Journey of Healing,” aims to inspire and guide individuals in overcoming life challenges and traumatic experiences that may leave them feeling broken.

The evening’s program promises a powerful narrative from a woman who bravely faced the depths of despair, only to emerge stronger, healthier, and beautifully broken. Ella Shae, a former eating disorder patient and author, will share her inspirational story, highlighting how her lack of self-care contributed to a downward spiral that led to an eating disorder. Through resilience, determination, and a commitment to self-discovery, Ella transformed her life and regained her health.

The event will not only showcase personal stories of triumph but will also provide valuable insights into factors contributing to overall well-being, the root causes of mental distress, signs of eating disorders, diagnoses, treatments, and strategies for positive life changes. Linda Mullin, Clinical Director of the Eating Disorders Program, will offer her expertise and shed light on the journey to recovery.

In collaboration with the Somerset County YMCA, this empowering evening goes beyond storytelling. Attendees will be treated to a delicious dinner as they absorb the lessons and experiences shared. Following the program, there will be a book signing session—giving attendees the opportunity to connect with Ella Shae, gain further insights, and take home a tangible reminder of the transformative power of healing.

The $20 admission fee is a small investment in personal growth and well-being, offering attendees an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from shared experiences, and leave with a renewed sense of empowerment. Whether you are personally grappling with challenges or seeking to understand and support others in their journeys, “From Broken to Beautifully Broken” promises to be an evening that will resonate long after the event concludes.

Collectively explore the pathways from brokenness to beauty, demonstrating that every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and every individual has the potential to transform their narrative into one of strength, resilience, and beauty.
