Where to Get Thanksgiving Pies in NJ

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and you’re probably already stressing about what you’re going to make to chef up a perfect feast. While Thanksgiving is a cozy time to reunite with family, it can also be hectic with traveling and preparing for guests. To take some of the pressure off of you, here is a guide to the best bakeries to get Thanksgiving pie in NJ. After hours of cooking your main courses, relax and enjoy these prepared desserts that are bound to blow your loved ones away.

Northern NJ

The Pie Store – Montclair

Located in Montclair, New Jersey, The Pie Store is known for their traditional home-back British savories and delectable desserts. Looking for an additional side for dinner? The Pie Store is serving turkey stuffing pie, shepherd’s pie, and more savory treats. And, of course, snatch one of their sweet apple, pumpkin or key lime pies. For Thanksgiving this year, they are offering pies on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not taking orders. Their holiday hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 18 and 19, 11 a.m to 3 p.m. November 20, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November 22.

Faubourg – Montclair

Faubourg’s french pastries and pies are the perfect dessert to impress your guests this Thanksgiving. This modern French brasserie is located in the heart of Montclair and they are offering a variety of pies for all Thanksgiving customers including pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and apple pie. Orders for Thanksgiving are due via email by Friday, November 18 and pick up is Wednesday, November 23 or Thursday, November 24. 

Pure Love Pies – Bloomfield

This family bakery is dedicated to baking delicious pies with the warm touch of their mother. With her recipes and touch, Pure Love Pies in Bloomfield has previously been named the best pie shop in NJ by USA Today Travel. Customer favorites like the butternut squash pie or the navy bean pie are sure to add a mouthwatering homemade touch to your Thanksgiving dessert spread. For all holidays and pre-orders, fill out the website form 24 hours before the date of pick-up.

Liv Breads – Millburn and Englewood

With locations in both Millburn and Englewood, Liv Breads serves and caters a wide variety of pastries and desserts that are the perfect additions to your Thanksgiving table. Liv Breads has everything from a rich chocolate cheesecake to a traditional pumpkin pie. For Wednesday, November 23, Liv Breads has pre-orders on their website for pick-ups in Englewood and Millburn. For Thursday, November 24, there is another pick-up option in Millburn. 

Mo’Pweeze – Denville

Mo’Pweeze bakery is dedicated to creating allergen free, vegan and kosher baked goods, perfect for guests who have allergies or dietary restrictions. Their selection ranges from blueberry, cherry, dutch apple, pumpkin, sweet potato, and raspberry pies. Customers can order online for pick-up at any point. 

Central NJ

Christie’s Artisan Bread & Pastry Shop – Clinton

Located in Clinton, Christie’s Artisan Bread & Pastry Shop is focused on bringing back true artisan-style baking. They make breads, pastries, tarts, tortes, cakes and more  from scratch and on premise. This year, they are offering five Thanksgiving pies: Double-crusted apple cinnamon pie, harvest apple crumb pie, traditional pumpkin pie, sweet bourbon pecan pie, and a gluten-free chocolate cake as well. Pre-order is open until Saturday, November 20 at 2 p.m. and Thanksgiving items will be available in shop. They are open for pickup November 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and November 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

502 Baking Company – Brick

Satisfy all of your holiday dessert cravings at the 502 Baking Company in Brick. While their award winning key lime pie is a customer favorite, they also serve peanut butter fudge, chocolate cream, coconut custard, blueberry pie and more.
