Have you ever dreamed of a day filled with a dozen different styles of gooey, cheesy mac and cheese? We have the event for you.
The inaugural Jersey City Mac & Cheese Festival, hosted by Jersey City Happy Hours, is set for Saturday, November 2, 2024. Hosted by the Lokel Group, the event will feature a food crawl around Jersey City, where participants can sample mac and cheese dishes from a variety of local eateries.
The festival will showcase unique mac and cheese offerings from several restaurants, including The Ashford’s Guinness Lobster Mac and Cheese and Better Days’ Spicy Vodka Mac with Wagyu Meatballs and Crispy Truffle Onions. Other featured dishes include Tony Boloney’s Mac & Cheese Pizza and Hudson Hound’s three-cheese version with bacon lardons.
This event is a great opportunity for JC locals and NJ foodies alike to sample a wide variety of one of the world’s great comfort foods. With a dozen diverse restaurants participating, no two macs are the same—making for a day filled with a variety of fun adaptations.
Participants will need to purchase a ticket, which includes a punch card for mac and cheese samples at all participating locations. Check-in starts at designated locations and will close at 3:00 p.m. Only guests with punch cards will be eligible to sample dishes. Volunteers will be present at each restaurant to manage punch cards and answer questions.
The festival will be held rain or shine, with organizers reminding attendees to respect restaurant seating policies and be mindful of crowding outside locations.
